The Niagara Movement was one of the most prestigious movements in American history. The ideals that they encouraged pushed blacks to get by for true equality. Equality was right a word to so many blacks for it had never been effected in their lives. Most blacks just settled for the right to be a citizen but the Niagara movement encouraged the fighting for the kindred rights as those of a snowy man. Without this movement theres no relation where blacks would be today. In 1895, Booker T uppercase make a, now noned speech, to the citizens of Atlanta. He encouraged blacks to stop fighting segregation and subscript citizenship and concentrate on learning useful skills. His school of thought was to establish up the social and economic ladder and mend ones ego so that the flannel men wouldnt see blacks as inferior but educated.
